morphs into a lyrical chant...
A sky full of clouds
imprisoned her soul...
my brain
leaks...
I find you in storms I fight to weather
in traps of poetry I uncover...
Hands that knocked at your gate
were not the same hands after...
Thus, whispered an hourglass in my ears:
No rock would ever survive the onslaught of time...
I can allow those heavy moments
to slip between the cracks of my character...
Yesterday, I stood in
front of our Courthouse...
Shards of shards
that split like dust in the corner...
a humble vagabond; shadowing your existence
in search of a conclusion to a story that was...
but then
even my Daisies sprouted thorns...
