Life is like the beaches sweet calm
with a salty breeze cupping sand in my palms
than again life is like that sand
rough, but warm, slowly draining from my hands
yes, but also life is much like the sky
white clouded beauty turning to night as we die
but life i think is more like the waves
riding their whole lives to crash on the bay
but I think that the ocean is life's best metaphor
a beautiful twisting tempest, or a ravaging storm
a warm long swim, or a cold short dive
we are waves crashing on the sand coming from the sky
