The leopard stalks along the track
Searching for a meal
Its stomach screaming
And growling like her muzzle
She pulls her lips around her teeth
And prepares to attack
An unlucky rabbit has bounded in her path
She smells the blood of its broken leg
And hears its whimpering
The rabbit stares up in shock
As the leopard begins to lick
And make her wounds clean
Pushing it into soft leaves
Away from the eyes
Of passing predators
Then the leopard walks away
Still hungry and searching for her prey
