Kerry Wood

by Jason   Feb 7, 2008

Kerry Wood is a baseball pitcher.
He struck out 20 batters at Wrigley Field once.
He helped the 2003 Chicago Cubs win
their first playoff series since 1908.

But since 2003,
Injuries have slowed down his baseball career.
Kerry Wood had so much hard time in rehabs and staying healthy,
He thought of retiring in spring 2007.

But alas, he got an incentive to make a comeback.
The 2007 Chicago Cubs were in a playoff race.
If it wasn't for this incentive he saw,
Kerry Wood's baseball days would be over.

Kerry Wood is back as a Cub.
After being plagued by injuries in recent years.
I want to wish him and the Chicago Cubs good luck.
A World Series Ring would make them look like lovable winners.

What can we learn from Kerry Wood's baseball career?
We can learn to never give up in reaching our lifetime goals.
Kerry's goal was to become a baseball pitcher.
He reached that goal, and ran into obstacles.
He worked hard in trying to resurrect his goal.

Oh yeah,
I got one more wish for Kerry.
I want to wish you good luck
In not getting bit by the same injury bug that damaged your baseball career.
