My best friend,My crying shoulder(dedicated to josie)

I like this poem it is has a strong sentimental, emotional ring to it. The only problem that I truly had with this poem was the repetition of "my best friend". I would try to find a way to minimize the use of "my best friend"; that way there would be no obstacles in the way of understanding the concept of the poem. I would suggest that you try to format it better. Try something like this:

My best friend
is an angel sent from above,
has been there through thick and thin,
and has been a shoulder to cry on whether in joy or pain.

My best friend
always puts a smile on my face when I'm down.
She is the one that tells me everything will be o.k. even though it may not.
she's also the one I tell all my secrets to.

My best friend
is the one who makes me laugh,
stands with me even if I'm wrong,
and sticks up for me even when i don't deserve it.

My best friend
is the one I can call late at night if I feel like crying or even just talking.
She respects my decisions even if they aren't the best,
and fills a gap in my heart.

My best friend
walks in when everyone else walks out,
takes up for me even after we fight,
dries my tears and calms my fears.

My best friend
listens to me talk about the boy I like
puts up with me; and yet my best friend will never know how much she means to me.

This is just a suggestion. You don't have to format it exactly the way I did; after all this is your poem. Overall I think you did a great job. The imagery was wonderful and it was full of emotion. It wasn't just words thrown on a page left to be read. Great job again! After a few changes have been made to this I believe it will be very popular. I look forward to reading more.

It's amazing how much Best friends can influence our lives. They may never understand or realize this, but i like this poem because it shows how best friends connect and how we need friends to get through life!
