Your Favorite Accident.

by Just_Andrew   Feb 8, 2008

I'm tr apt in a prison
that four walls do not create.
always a dollar too short
always a day too late

i thought you were the key
to unlocking my tortured soul
i let you into my heart
and i really payed the toll

you said you were different
so i guess I'm just naive
instead of seeing through your lies
your words i chose to believe.

you broke my heart
as well as my body mind and hope
after walking away from my life
you found it effortless to cope

i will never forgive you
and god knows i will never forget
letting go of me so easily
will inevitably become your biggest regret

i guess this is my goodbye
so long, farewell
feel free to remember me sometime
while you desolately burn in hell.

Love,
Your Favorite Accident.

Wow. That was really well written. I know exactly what that feels like, and unfortunately, heartbreak is something that none of us can truly avoid.

Nonetheless, I can't wait to read more of your poems. (: 5/5
