My Kitten

I moved out, on my own,
No friends, I was all alone,
I wanted my loneliness to end,
So one day, I got a new friend,

He came to me as a furry thing,
Soft and cuddly with happiness to bring,
Then he would take a nap, so adorable,
But when he woke up, he was horrible,

He found everything he could to destroy,
So I decided to buy him a new toy,
But in his games it was just another pawn,
Like everything else, soon to be gone,

I was so confused, I got mad,
How could this kitty be so bad?,
I tried to make him behave,
But the results were very grave,

Now he was the angry one,
And this kitty was no longer fun,
Scratching and biting my skin,
My patience was wearing thin,

But then I noticed the cute things he does,
And realized I haven't felt alone because,
He's the best friend I could ever ask for,
Even though he can be, a little hardcore.
