Goosebumps

by MorbidCupcake   Feb 8, 2008

"Are you okay?" She asks.
"Yes of course." I lie.

She can hear them in the other room
Discussing all her faults and mess-ups
Calling her a baby for crying
And everyother curse word in the universe

Her heart snaps in two again
She wants to cry more
But she can't, because they'll just make fun of her again
Call her a cry baby
A loser
A mistake

She tries her hardest but that's never hard enough

Goosebumps run down her arms and legs

Her eyes get watery
But she wipes the tears with her hands and breathes
She's not allowed to cry
She's not allowed to show any sign of breaking down

That's why they can't know about the cuts
That glisten a bright crimson
In parallel lines
She's not allowed to bleed and she's not allowed to cry
