Enjoy Your Men

by Soulful Ensemble   Feb 8, 2008

Enjoy all of your men
And the different joys they bring.
I'm here and everywhere
Waiting for the days of spring.

Why don't you learn to say no
When they come down with hands open?
You always leave me, you know,
To go and talk to them.

I'm tired because you don't know
When its good to look away.
I'm weary of your heart of snow
That never looks this way
When another man does show
That he wants to get his way.

Well, I have no way, it seems,
I lay around silently;
Waiting for all your schemes
To stop my heart violently.

And my heart stopped today
So you looked the other way;
knowing you were to blame
For the death of my flame.

My soul is cold now,
And the dying ember is ashes.
I tried to wipe my brow
But the hurt spirit just crashes.

Buttons make and ruin me,
When will they favor me?
I'm dying beneath your tree
As I slip down to my knees.

The tree is falling over, down into the abyss
I'll follow you down the cracking crevice.
I know the bottom does not exist--
I'm just looking for a loving kiss.
