To Be A Fool Like Me

by brie kelly wise   Feb 9, 2008

My hunger for a little sympathy
Spreads the streets of the city
At the foot of my bed I let it out
I'm thrown back to the first round
My heart calls to him from miles away
Half broken in pieces, half embraced
How I found him on the streets, on his way to work
What was he doing in the dirty world of New York
To be a fool like me, you must fall for him
When I loved you like a girl lives
A fall for a simple moon and I'm on the ground
And how he's never there, while I'm bound
At least I can say I was in his arms
But to love like a gunshot through an alarm
You must be blind enough to not see
You must be a fool like me
