I met you at school, sort of by chance
I'll never forget when we gave each other that first glance
Something inside of me clicked right away
I knew that we would be together someday.
You always thought of jokes and threw them my way
You could make me laugh any time, no matter how bad the day.
You may not know it, but I do,
I am definitely falling in love with you!
Everyone kept telling me you were going to ask me out one day
I smiled and blushed a little, then said, "Me? No way."
As a few months went by we started talking more
I felt more comfortable with you than with any other guy before.
So finally one day your friend brought me over to your class
I asked him what was going on ,
and he said that you had something important to ask.
So when we got to you, you looked a little nervous I could see
And so I asked you, "What did I get dragged over here for?"
You stood there for a moment, and then with a small voice you said,
"Cate, will you go out with me?"
I thought i could only be dreaming, so I pinched myself to see
And you asked, "Hey, what'd you do that for?"
And my reply, "To make sure you are really standing here asking ME."
"My answer is yes," I said quickly, and you said, "Great."
We gave each other a great big hug and said,
"See you at the end of the day."
