My Own Little World

by AngelsTears   Feb 9, 2008

There is a place I once knew,
A place that I only I could see.
It’s rivers were as gentle as a blanket,
It’s sky as endless as eternity.

So many days I spent,
Just staring at this world that was so new to me.
I never questioned,
And I never wondered.

When I was sad,
It would pour down rain like falling stars.
When I was happy,
It would give me wings to fly.

When I was angry,
It would turn red.
When I was confused,
It would start to melt together.

All good things,
Must come to an end.
I got a new friend,
And I spent less time in my own little world.

Soon I grew up,
Forgetting about the place that had been special to me.
Yet when I had a bad dream,
It was not about death.

My own little world,
Had finally had it’s end.
My own little world,
Died because of me.
