Welcome to the 90's.
A decade with people screaming in the movies,
A decade with rap music becoming more popular,
A decade where the Bulls won 6 NBA championships.
The 90's also saw cartoons going primetime
With the Simpsons leading the way for other prime time cartoons.
Like King of the Hill, South Park, and Beavis and Butthead.
The 90's also saw Jerry Springer taking talk shows to a new level.
Oprah Winfrey's show was the #1 talk show on TV.
In 1998, Springer used punches, swearing, and kicks from his fake guests
In order to make him the #1 talk show for a few months in the same year.
The 90's saw the introduction of cell phones.
When I was in high school, people weren't even carrying around cell phones to work and to school.
When I entered college in the late 90's,
That's when cell phones became more common.
Something else became more common in the late 90's.
Which was called surfing the net.
No, you don't need a surfboard in order to search for
Sport scores, single women, and CD's to buy online.
I was involved with Jehovah's Witnesses in this decade.
I regret dealing with them.
They don't believe in smoking cigs, dating, and partying.
Three things that I was deprived of til I left em at 19.
I accomplished something in high school.
I finished as one of the Top 20 graduates in my class of '96.
I finished as #19 in my class.
I give credit to my mother for her mental encouragement..
Being involved with Jehovah's Witnesses
Was an obstacle on my road to Miss Right.
I can't worry about the past.
Because all I can do is worry about now and the future.
What the 90's didn't have
is DVD players and computers in every single household.
People would've laughed at the idea of even paying bills online.
Goodbye 90's. I'm hoping the new millennium will mean
A new life with a special friend of mine in these last 2 years of the 2000's.
