The end

When I looked into his eyes again
I could feel my heart explode
I went from the usual heartache
to the "in love again" mode.

I could hear the soft whisper in my head
pleading me to get a little closer
but the truth hit me with a punch
as I saw you again with her.

I took one small step forward
pushing my better judgement aside
it was faith that kept me going
on this slow and painful ride.

My heart started racing
as you locked your eyes on me
then you turned and kissed her lightly
just so I could see.

My heart hit the floor
and my legs got very weak
I could feel my face get hot
as a tear ran down my cheek.
