Where Is Mummy?

by Jodie Phillips   Feb 10, 2008

Mummy please don't sit and cry
Here is a tissue dry your eyes.

Is it because we have been bad?
Mummy, why are you always so sad?

We don't mean to be naughty and fight
We are just doing what kids do, why are you so uptight?

We love you mummy please be happy with us.
Why do you always make a big fuss.

Is it because you don't love us?
Were sorry mummy please can we have a hug.

We promise we will be good if you smile
Bring us that even if its only for a while.

You use to be happy so why aren't you now?
I no we will get our mummy back some how.

We love you and don't blame you
Were not silly, we understand and see what your going through.

So please don't think we love you any less
We just don't want to see you in this mess.

We will wait for you to be happy again
And no matter what mummy our love will remain.

This poem touched me really deep. you have expressed the pain and longing for a mum so well.i know too well what its like to watch a mum with depression and just want even that one slight smile you asked for.

i also know the thoughts about thinking you are bad, you done wrong and deep down you just want a hug, i realted so so well to this and i thank you for writing it. it flowed so well and was really moving.

hope things get better soon, well done xxx

You def got alot of demons renting space
in your head. you will never move on
with these thoughts eating away at you like a
cancer. your kids are young enough that
if you got up tommorow and desideed that
you were going be a nicer and happier person that would be ok thats it no redeption
no apologies necessary just be our mom
    thats it .
