Love Sonnet

by Krystal   Feb 10, 2008

Slowly seeping into your painful thoughts,
It causes nightmares and haunts your smile,
Smothering light as though it had been caught,
It twists your dreams, you become beguiled.

Your past had once been filled with grins and smirks,
Your day had been filled with giggles and joy,
But within all hearts darkness still does lurk,
And its demented features have a ploy.

It takes your feelings and it turns them bad,
It mocks you and taunts you, causing pain.
It stops your love and all laughs to be had,
It mocks your agony, but keeps you sane.

No matter how dark there will still be light,
Sometimes it's something that will make you fight.

Incredible, It's rare someone knows how to place a simile or two into a poem without making it studder, but you did it well, nice imagery as well. I'm off to read more from you ^^ 5/5 faved
