The Canvas

by Staind Soul   Feb 11, 2008

Blood splatter on the canvas,
So down and feeling hopeless,
This is where I watched you die,
This little perch above from where I spy,
Watching as the monkey on your back appears,

Your screams and the tears,
They bring me solitude,
It makes me want to cry,
This pain you tried to elude,
Paint me another picture with your smears,

This pain from over the years,
I want to take away,
The tears I want to dry,
I hope my plead reaches your ear,
Please sit back while the dust clears

(To a friend of mine which I spent sunday with in the E.R because she wanted to kill herself. It was a rough day. Feed back is welcomed.)

    Beautiful poem.
    I can relate.
    Take care, and keep writing.
