The Master of Meth

by Katerina   Feb 12, 2008

I sat in silence and watch your skills
You were the master of meth and it gave me chills
I watched you take a whiff of the powder
And just like that you were lost in wonders.

You mind was faster than the speed of light
And you were gone so far on that night.
Meth is different in your mind
You're so happy but it kills your time.

You find yourself without sleep
Feeling my body saying, "Please,"
I could have gone to the world you were,
And make love that would soon be a blur.

But my dreams denied my ability to feel,
Because you were in a world that was unreal
I wanted to kiss you pale lips,
But unlike a story, there were no scripts.

My mind couldn't pass the fact that you were blazed,
And that your body wanted to engulf mine in a lusty flame.
That night I left you with so little confessions,
That when you'll wake up you'll have many questions.

But hear me now as I cry,
That if you want me back you'll have to try
To stop the Methamphetamine
And give me some time.

I'll love you forever and that's a long time,
But you love meth more then you chimed.

I need to know if you won't stop,
What will you do with your life when you cannot talk?
Meth kills you brain and you know it's true.
Just look in the mirror and see the truth!

Please stop the madness before it's too late,
I don't want to see you dead and raped.
Please forget the drugs,
That ripped you apart.
Please forgive me,
For leaving you in the dark

-To the boy I let go because of the drugs that consumed him. Steven, I'll love you forever but I cannot be in the world you choose.-

I have been on both sides of that fence and you did the right thing: letting him go before he could bring you down with him. Great poem. 5/5
