Each Step

Each step can sometimes be so miserable,
Each step is just so hard,
Each agonizing step hurts my feet,
Each step down scars,

Each step up is a leap of Faith,
But I'm still not sure it's there,
Each step up leaves me longing,
Longing to reach the top.

Each step makes me wonder,
Wonder why its has to be so hard,
Each step makes me stronger,
Stronger and more alarmed.

Each step makes me more determined,
Determined to show you I'm still..
I was once the one you longed for,
And I'll make that position still..

So each step..
Each small step counts,
I won't stop stepping,
Until I've found what I've needed to find.
For the doors are always wide open,
You just need to step up and sometimes step down,
For your day, your turn, your final step,
Will soon come around.
