Whats my Purpose

Who am I and what am I supposed to be,
Is it what I make it or am I to wait and see.
Do I give away my love to someone worth while? Someone that'll push me, someone that'll make me smile.

Do I wake up every morning excited for a new day,
Or hit my knees and for blessing pray?
Do I judge people or be a good friend,
Do I accept myself or deny to the end?

Was I put down here to change someone's life,
So full of love, become someone's beautiful wife?
Was I put down here to prove everyone wrong,
Do the unheard of, create a new song?

Right now I couldn't tell you because only he knows, The decisions, pain, and paths everyone goes.
Who triumphs and who's going to fall,
Who falls short and who stands tall.

Being born a leader to give advice and lend a hand, Burdens may become heavy making it hard to stand. Why me, what'd I do, How,
Questions that may not have an answer right now.

Does this mean we should give up or weaken or stance,
No in times like these is a time to stand up and dance. Stand up strut your stuff and show the whole you, Someone you've known your whole life may learn something new.

I've come oh so close to giving up and ending life, Because I couldn't deal with small everyday strife. Weakened by repetitive abuse or fights,
I'm thankful that I made it through some of those nights.

I'm glad my life isn't a piece of cake,
I'm glad that I am learning to be me and not fake.
I'm glad that I have been given this rare chance,
For my voice to be heard and to stand up and dance.

What my purpose is I may not always know,
But the one thing I can always do is let my true self show.
Not being afraid of what others might think or say,
No more consumed thoughts day after day.

Wake up every morning with a smile on my face,
Head to school with such happiness for others to embrace.
Loving this life that was given to me,
I'm sure in time my purpose will because crystal clear to see.
