Forever Apart

With tears in her brown eyes
They shine so bright
She tried so hard
But she gave up the fight

Pain consumes her
Swallowing her whole
Her heart is shattered
Bleeding soul

Her fingers are digging
Into her skin
She going crazy
Dying within

She lost him
She's losing herself
It's not their fault
The cards were dealt

Head throbs hard
Heart is broken
She tries to speak
But words are unspoken

Standing amongst the stones
Crying her eyes dry
Seeking to remain controlled
But there's no use to try

Years together
Just ripped apart
Not only in body
But also in heart

He's no longer here
To heaven he flies
She looks up sadly
But there're only gray skies

Lighting flashes
As she stands by his grave
Everything's changing
Never the same

Rain finally falls
She stares at the stone
She's lonesome and scared
Oh so alone

Ring on her hand
Hand on her heart
Heart broke to pieces
Forever apart
