Todays the day
6 months exactly since you left the world behind
every memory of you remains with me
every day i sit thinking about you
i know you are not suffering anymore
is it ok for me to be?
i know you are up there watching me
every move i make
helping me through all of my hard times
congratulating me on my good
always beside me
better yet, living inside of me
i will never forget the times we had
sitting in the kitchen playing cribbage
you correcting me on every little thing
or our trips to the golf course
you always made us grandkids go searching for the extra balls
just so that next holiday you could send us twelve of them in a egg carton
making fun of grandmas nagging was always histerical
and at your funeral when grant brought you the golf ball to put inside your casket
that was hard
but i know that through everything you were there
u fulfilled the bet we made 5 years earlier
you said you would make it at least five more years
you fought through it all
you made it till the day after your 84th birthday
6 months earlier
i will never forget the last words you said to me on the Morning of May 25th, 2007
"I'll see you again sometime soon" u promised!
i love you so much and i will NEVER forget you!
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH GRANDPA!!!
