I want to be happy

I want to be happy
I want to laugh and smile
I want to be without fear
if only for awhile

I want to go to bed
without tears in my eyes
I want to have dreams
where I do not die

I want to smile
with happiness in me
i want to finally say
"I am free!"

I don't want to hate
I don't want to die
I don't want to live in darkness
I don't want to cry

I want to be happy

if its only a dream.
