about my heart's desire.
To let you know that you've
set a faithful, burning fire.

It will never leave my depths,
and always stay with me.
For, burdens of my past,
aren't what makes me happy.

It's the peacefulness I feel,
every time I hear your name.
The joyfulness I've come to know,
that's chipped away my shame.

It's the tears I cry each night,
as I yearn for you to hold me.
It's the times I've dealt with hardships,
and the way you've made me see.

That even though life's not exactly
what everyone seems to dream. . .
it's more like a roller coaster,
and you're my mechanical team.
