BULLET 4 MY VALENTINE

Why did you have to go and say goodbye
on this day
you walk away as I sit and cry
I loved you but all I got
was a bullet for my valentine
wounds so deep they bleed continuously
blood splatters the floor as I fall
I lay there crumpled and bleeding
crying as you walk the other way
why did you have to go and say goodbye
not to hold onto me one last time
my heart is aching, wounds so sore, breath slipping away
why am I still holding on
maybe, just maybe I'm holding on
just hoping you will come back to me
to kiss me, save me, make me feel safe again
but all I got was a bullet through the heart for a valentine
and I realize that as i lay here bleeding, broken and torn
on the bedroom floor
our love is over
and as I grab the silver blade next to me
I say I love you one last time
and plunge it deep
into my aching heart
the world stops turning
time stands still
my heart feels the burning
of a bullet for my valentine
