Impossible dread

by lost   Feb 15, 2008

Past mistakes, murderous dreams
Suicidal lullaby
Kids that wish to die
Coming, going, day in, day out,
The mother who beats
The father who drinks
Battered, bruised by those they love
Throwin down into the mud
Thoughts of suffering and of pain
Walking through this mess you made
Love's lost and so are you
Hiding from your strongest fear
Crashing down with each new tear
The pain inside is never shared
Locked down deep within your heart
Never wanting to make a start
Lines of red upon your wrist
Knowing that it's only this
That holds you tight within your mind
Gasp for air that's never there
It's gone, It's gone, It's gone, It's gone
Trapped within the oceans spray
That is drowning you today
As wave after wave of humiliation
Lead you to this damnation
Stuck within the hell you made
Forced to smell the burning flesh
As you try to catch your breath
Held to rot inside these thoughts
Those of which is real or not
Feeling that it's only you
That's ever felt the way you do
To watch as they all stop to glare
Seeing all their wicked eyes
Staring into your weary mind
Wishing it to stop sometime
All the questions, all the doubts
When they turn to scream and shout
You fall into a place of dread
Locked away inside your head
Never knowing what is said
Looking at the walls you've built
Set aside to keep them out
Staring at a loaded gun
BANG, your dead
The end of dread
Now look up and see what's done
Watching as they stand around
As all the tears fall from their eyes
Crashing down around their lives
Your broken body lying still
And even though you moved on
It still feels like somethings wrong
And without a single word
Ever being said
Could you imagine
The impossible dread
