Another Fight With Her Family

by Taylor   Feb 15, 2008

She came home on Valentine's Day
With a smile on her face
She felt like harm couldn't get in her way
But that was something her parents could replace

A few hours later, she heard a bang
And saw fury in her mother's eyes
Her parents screamed at her, and angels sang
Her mother said she didn't care when her daughter cries

"JUST GO AWAY YOU LITTLE WITCH!" filled the room
Tears in that girl's eyes, she refused to take a step
Her mother screamed louder, and there was a big "boom"
The girl's thoughts are her only secret kept

She ran into the bathroom and slammed the door
She looked into the mirror and saw her eyeliner smeared
She wished to be with the boy she loved, and then sank to the floor
Then she prayed to God that everything would disappear

As the hot water poured down on her in the shower
She let every tear out that she was keeping in
She felt as if she had lost all of her power
And soon the drops started to burn her skin

"I hate my family," she was like a record put on repeat
She gripped her stomach and bellowed down
Her heart wrenched and she wanted to retreat
She wanted to end this, but she almost collapsed to the ground

The next day, she was in a good mood
Until her father started screaming for no reason at all
She ignored her parents, and they called her rude
But she didn't care, and walked down the hall

She has hate for her family, which will never leave
They don't even know, but they don't even care
When they start to scream, all she can do is retrieve
The blows, and just sit there and stare

*Dedicated to my family. Even though they'll probably never see this.*
