Don't Leave

by Caitlin L   Feb 16, 2008

The clocked ticked slowly to wards two
It was a almost time to pack up and leave
He did the same thing just
Across town but he sat there and waited
The clock finally reached two
She on her way
Walking straight into a broken heart
He came from a broken home.
She hit the door like a tone of bricks
Creaming and yelling
Not noticing the suitcase sitting by the door.
He just sat there waiting,
For her to take one more swing
Then he would walk away.
She came in just like he knew
Tears rolling down his face
He didn't try to hide the pain;
She wondered what was wrong
Her world changed that day
She keeps playing the memory
0ver again never should have
Pushed when all it took was
To pull him in.
She realized the words that
Escaped her that day:
"Don't leave
Please don't run away
I love you, i can see that you love me"
But it was too late
He was gone
From that spot in their living room
Now he has a spot in the ground
With flowers all around
And words of people
She hears them whispering
Saying she ouched him over the edge
He has the chance for a better life
She took it all away
Now she lays broken on the floor
With her suitcase packed
Thing it is her turn
A turn to run, escape the thought
Of those words...i love you
Floating in the air.
They found her the next day
Held a not to her heart
"Don't leave
Please don't run away
I love you, i can see that you love me"
The clocked ticked slowly to wards two
It was almost time to pack up and leave
As he did the same just across town.
