Ocean Wind Song

by NightFlyer   Feb 17, 2008

Walking along a moonlit beach,
The colors of night parade in a wind song,
Pastel shades of seashore, reverberate like heartbeats,
Night ruling high over this agate shore.

Moonlight smiles down on us an opal haze,
Cosmos windswept sand blows over the blue iris Atlantic horizon,
Entranced on midnight sands we laze,
And sing to the ocean, unending ocean.

I am humbled by your kind words, Breaking Dawn. I wrote that one after taking a walk at night on the beach in Delray, Florida many years ago. The ocean at night can be so inspiring.

Wow, I am just speechless right now. Your poetry is outstanding and I'm blown away but its beauty! I especially love your nature poems, you have a way where you capture the indescrible beauty of nature:

    "Walking along a moonlit beach,
The colors of night parade in a wind song,
Pastel shades of seashore, reverberate like heartbeats,
Night ruling high over this agate shore."

So stunning, the word choice you used was brilliant and gave me a great visual!

    Keep writing, always and forever....
