St Valentine

Love is all around us,
and I know that it's true
But this stupid holiday
Is all down to you.

It's your fault we're conned
into buying bits of tat
I know you didn't want it
But what what'ya think of that?

And every year on this day
Some poor unwanted soul
Is drinking themselves silly
to try and make them whole.

And someone else is dying
They took the knife and cut
right through their sunken wrists,
Now that can't be uncut.

So just think when your all happy,
For setting such a lovely day
that you may see people soon
For they are on their way.

You think you did us a favour,
for a day thats full of love
With pretty things to give
remembering the dove.

But I know different
and now I just have to say
thanks to St.Valentine...
