Slip deep into a dream
rest your heart,
as you gently sleep,
darkness creeps in,
a night of bliss and wonder begins!
Forget all you worries
rely on you memories
to guide your dreams
times of fun and youth
stories of wonder and belief
to escape from the lonely
Voices call your name
as your mind spins in and out of sanity
clouds roll in, a total eclipse holds you down,
waves splash against your feet
feeling the wind pick up, your free!
Slow breathing keeps you awake
your eyes are heavy and weak
all breath is gone, you cannot speak
still silently you scream,
"Please let me dream, take me away!"
Stolen from your empty nest
your no longer controlled by unbelieveable lonliness
a shattered heart brought to rest
when happy thoughts enter your mind
a smile slides across your face,
one no one could see
cold water brushes against your warm skin
pulling you deeper into a freezing grave
closing your eyes you try not to cry, be brave
a final, forever dream sweeps your head
long lasting freedom in a below zero bed!
