Stepping Stones

Just when we feel as if we cant go on,
We find the strength inside.
When we feel as if all our hope is gone,
We find the hope we thought we had lost.

When we feel as if we cannot win,
We are lifted by the wings of an angel.
When we feel as if we have lost it all,
We stand and find the power to fight again.

When we cry and claim its over,
A miracle comes and shows us the way through.
When we have lost our only love,
We somehow carry on.

When the skies are gray and dark,
We see through to the golden light above.
When our dreams are crushed,
We still sleep and have our dreams.

When we are chained,
We find a way to break free.
When our hearts are broken in half,
We pick up the pieces and sew it back together again.

We carry on when we think we cannot,
We find the power when we think we have lost.
This is what life is all about:
Never giving up,
Even when you think its over.

Life is one big stepping stone,
And now it is time to step away.
Step into the next part of our lives,
And onto the next stone.
