Outwit The Pursuer

by Taylor   Feb 18, 2008

He's on my trail, but I won't let him find me again
Take a quick turn to the left, and keep on running
Hear his screams as he pulls the trigger, he's not my friend
He's sly, and his way of mind, it surely is stunning
I can't hide anymore, it's time to come out
I have a keen sense, I'll trick him into belief
Standing my ground, I have no doubt
That this so-called murderer can do nothing but retreat

He's not going to get me this time, I know what to do
I can hear his footsteps clash against the dirt
I'm not going to let him, I'll force him into saying what's true
He's not going to win, and I'm not gonna get hurt
I can feel his warm breath on the back of my neck
He's right behind me, I can sense his hands raised
I will not fall, I have my own life to protect
I know when to suddenly turn around and throw him into a daze

This man has been haunting me my whole life
I just didn't meet him until four years ago
But in this dark alley, all you can see is his bloody knife
And I think it's the right moment to let the emotions show
Time to f**k him up, like he did to me
I raised myself to always stay strong
His hand is around my waist now, trying to let it be
But I know this man was the one that I was in love with all along
