Blank You Out (Speakers)

by FenderGrl   Feb 18, 2008

I turned the speakers to blow my ears
don't wanna hear-- my thoughts trampling on,
And then I heard that stupid song...
My heart won't take it-- that you're gone,
my mind knows it-- that you're gone...
and it won't blank you out...

You don't rule my life, only the way I live it,
You don't rule my mind, only the thoughts that go through it,
And you don't rule my flow, only my dreams...
that this gloomy morning will reveal the truth of the night; that it's never what it seems...
All I have is to believe...

So I turned the speakers back down to blank out that stupid song,
But tonight you're in my thoughts;
I need you... to take back what you said,
I need you... to get out of my head!!

You're my postponement that I've held for so long and I can't let go...
Still can't blank you out-- Why can't I blank you out?
And I wonder if you ever think of me--
Have you blanked me out... forever?
Do you ever look Outside your door?-- don't you know that I'm still here?--
And when you turn up your speakers,
Does that song remind you of those days?

Can't blank out the memories,
Can't blank out the tears...
I turned the speakers
to blow my ears...

Very powerful. I loved it, from the beginning to the end. I liked the underlying tones to it. Beautiful. 5/5
