Ride of Emotions

Ups and downs, throwing me all around
So confused by these emotions I've found.
One minute so high, the next on the ground,
I ask for help, yet make no sound.

I should realize that the world isn't perfection,
Things come and go, just as affection.
Out there is a much finer selection,
I need to just learn to accept rejection.

Seems the past few days been nothing but grins,
But everything gets weird before it begins.
Maybe life just likes to take me for a spin,
But strength to keep going isn't within.

On the verge of tears, yet I can't say why
Guess I finally came off that high.
Maybe everything I thought was just a lie.
Sometimes I wonder why I even try...

Maybe I am overreacting, who is to say?
Tomorrow I could get over what I doubt today.
Or perhaps happiness will again go away...
This constant grin can again decay...
