Not Interested

She sits
her back to the crowd
pink streaks marking
her rebellious half

when he walks up
and tries to talk
the shunning continues
he knows she's
not the least bit
interested

before
she was merely
a wallflower
something to be
ignored

then the weekend
happened
she returned
three days later
with confidence

now
they notice
but it's a little too late
because she's
not the least bit
interested
