You Decide

by imstillwaiting   Feb 18, 2008

As you lay,
Down on your bed.
Staring at the blank ceiling,
Thinking of once-when-we-were.

Living in the present,
Feels like living in the past,
When of all that matters seem so far away.

Virtual or reality,
You decide.

As you lay,
Down on your bed.
Behind closed eyes,
Lurk the memories of once-when-we-were.

Of all the beautiful and the sad,
Those remembered choose to be sad,
And the beautiful marks the tracks of memory lane.

Fact or fiction,
You decide.

As you lay,
Down on your bed.
Groping in the dark,
For you are alone now,
Compared to once-when-we-were.

Getting used to being beside you,
Did not seem as hard,
As getting used to being without you.

A need or a want.
You decide.
