Forgive me you said.
When you go all out to believe in someone,
You leave your world in Her hands.
You believe in nothing else,
And nothing else matters,
Except Her.
When you open up your heart to love once again,
You expect trust,
You expect faith.
When you realize that all trust is gone,
You find you have no one to turn to,
No one to trust.
For all those who you turned your back on,
Turned their back on you.
When all is lost,
The only fall-back you have is you yourself.
When no one is there to catch you,
The only people who help you back up,
Is what you call friends.
You lived a life of fear,
Fear of betrayal,
Fear of hurt,
Fear of rejection.
How humane it might sound,
Fear of being unloved.
Forgive me you said,
And I did.
For it was inhumane to let someone you loved stay unloved.
But when it came to me,
You did not even blink,
And you shoved me away.
Looking back at how much I loved you,
How much it hurts to love you.
Realizing how much you don’t,
Took the life right out of me.
