Natural Progression

Natural Progression
By Mark Spencer

Matter, they say, is energy;
Constrained by form and mass.
It is bound by unseen forces,
That will not let it pass.

That energy forms everything,
In our reality,
The planets, stars, and living things,
In every galaxy.

But if it's true that energy,
Is the natural state
Of everything we've come to know,
Then let's deliberate.

Do you believe our universe
Had a natural birth?
Did such a process form the stars,
The planets, and the Earth?

If energy is matter's source,
It calls for a debate.
It means our universe is not
IN it's natural state.

If matter isn't the true form,
It can't be natural.
Which means that our reality
Would be UN-natural.

If something is unnatural,
It can't form on its own.
A fact that makes an open mind
Rethink what it had known.

A closed mind cannot see beyond
The scope of its own pride.
And while it clings to vain beliefs,
The truth is vilified.

And yet, the truth remains the truth,
It makes no concession.
Creation was not built upon
Natural progression.

End.
