Spider Webs

by Iola   Feb 19, 2008

You cry inside, I feel your tears
Those you loved no longer near
Daily thoughts consumed by fear
I just want you here

You hide away your scars from me
Those ones that only I can see
Your heart desires to be free
I just want you close to me

Pretty webs hide spider legs
But you never dust and clean
Swallowed whole by tiny eggs
I don't care where you have been

You scream at life without a throat
Coughing up what makes you bloat
An angelic monster underneath your coat
I just rocked your boat

You looked for love in a rabbit hole
And found a beautiful fish in a bowl
Fire can be made by a heart of coal
I just want to touch your soul

Pretty webs hide tiny eggs
But you never dust and clean
Swallowed whole by spider webs
I don't care where you have been
