The fall of an angel

by StandStill   Feb 19, 2008

An angel of doubt
hidden deep inside of a cloud
a dark thunderhead
it scares her to death
in a veil of mist, her eyes shine
she sees the one she wants to call MINE
her heavenly beauty
is too much for him, this earthly cutie
he can never see
who she tries so hard to be
others find places in her heart
cupid's beautiful dart
but they can never have this one from above
because for only one she has love
he rejects her heart
carefully takes it apart
the angel falls unto the ground
breaking wings, and ethreal crown
and she continues to plummet
down
down
down
