Faraway land

by StandStill   Feb 20, 2008

On the shores of a faraway place
does my love show its lovely face
and my heart skips a beat
and i feel the heat
rising up through my veins

in the jungles of a faraway land
my love is never far from hand
and my eyes flutter with surprise
like the butterflies
flying up into the canopy

in the lakes of a faraway place
love seems to set the pace
and we take it slow
and go to the places that we shouldn't go
hiding ourselves away

on the mountains of a faraway land
we go up high and we stand
we watch the stars
and seeing no cars
we call into each others embrace

in the desert of a faraway place
heat seems to win the race
and in that case
with no one around
i will let my heart pound
while sitting next to you

alas, this faraway land
everybody can understand
for love needs a place to dwell
to fight the pain and the swell
so live in our minds it does
and keeps us so high above
from the painful every day
as we continue to make our way
