I say i believe in you
But yet i feel like I'm so far from you
I'm not close enough to feel your strength
And the love you share with all your other believers
I've been fading away from your embrace
And I'm so cold
Because I'm not in your warm, loving arms
I can't feel the joy i once felt from you

You were the light to my darkness
But now I've walked away from you
Causing me to walk on the wrong path
I'm left with no direction and now I'm lost
You were the strength to my weakness
Whenever i would fall to the ground
You were always there
With your hand stretched toward me
And you would lift me up and put me back on my feet
You were the healing of my pain
And the one who would reconstruct my heart
Whenever someone broke it into pieces
You would always make things better
and whisper your glorious words to the ears of my soul
But now I've given you the cold shoulder

For i have left you empty-handed
I have abandoned you and left you ashamed of me
I have left your beautiful eyes drowned in tears
That shatter as they hit the grounds of heaven
I have left your sorrowful heart in pain
I wish i could take it all away
Everything I've done to you
And once again be the precious daughter you see in your eyes..

I want to find you
I need you right now
To fill my empty heart with your love
To cleanse my soul with your strength and freedom
And when i find you
We'll dance joyfully with the angels
And we'll sing of the love you bring
We'll join in hands
And never let go...
