No one really is happy
Until they find someone they love
But even that isn't happiness
It soon passes, and changes
Into something more

It shifts into excitement
It transforms into hope
Giving light to your sadness
And forgiving your sins.

Happiness truly isn't what it seems
Because it doesn't last forever
It changes and it warps
Sometimes for the worst
Sometimes for the better

When truly 'happy'
You believe nothing can go wrong
but a lot of times that fades
When what you think won't happen
Does.

So give life its value
Let happiness change
No one knows where it will lead you
