Kill Mickey Mouse

I despise Disney
it is their fault i am unstable.
in my tender childhood i was bombarded with stories of goodness and nice things.
True Love, Happy Endings, complete resolutions to every problem.
The thing is, i thought life would be like that.
The underdog pulling in from behind to clutch victory from the jaws of defeat...But no.
Love hurts, people stay dead, and sometimes things never work out,
A rationality my heart refuses to accept, dividing me, confusing me further.
Wait or the rainbow, it's coming!
...or not.
Should i become vulnerable by daring to hope, or close myself off and destroy any chance at happiness?
I blame it all on Robin Hood, Snow White, Lion King, Bambi, and Beauty and the Beast(that's rich!),
where i learned to believe Hell turns to Heaven
before two hours are up.

Good poem. It is true that when you are younger you are set in an illusion of bright happy creatures, living in harmony, good conquring evil and happy endings and as you grow older you reralise the pressures, hurt and sadness in the world very true. However I feel that disney does not show these films to disillusion these children, no, but gives them hope that good and justice will provale. I know that this does not always happen but if you dont have the hope of wanting good to conqure evil what chances will you really have?
I think anyone can get their happy ending if they keep hoping and fight for it. Dont give up on the world without a fight you can still have that happy ending you wanted when you were younger!
