Forever Together

I never thought that love could be like this
then i met you and my whole world was changed
i found the man who completed me and who i am
i saw that love is more than a lover's kiss
it's being able to run to you, my clothes worn and ragged
my eyes red and swollen with tears
no make up on, my hair a mess
and have you wrap me up in those strong arms
holding me against your warm body
rocking me gently back and forth
while whispering in my ear, "you are so beautiful sweetheart"
when we kiss it's like theres no one else around
we're all alone in each others arms
when you lay me back on your bed
and let your body love me like no one else
each caress filled with warmth and unconditional love
it's like i've died and gone to heaven
when my belly begins to grow
and our first child is born
watching you hold them in your arms
the smile on your face brighter than the sun
i can't help but wonder how i got so lucky
as our child gets older
and soon leaves to begin their own long journey
and we're still together
the love as strong as the day we met
it's like a miracle come to life
i watch you with your grandson
holding him so gently, your eyes filled with love
you lean down to give him a kiss on the nose
i've never been more in love with you
the day we die in each others arms
we meet again in heaven
together for eternity
