Wanting you to want me,
Just half as much as I want you,
Wanting you to miss me,
The way I miss you all week through.

Wishing you'd make the effort,
We need to carry on,
I'm not sure just how much more,
I can take before I'm gone.

I try my hardest to understand,
That you've got other things to do,
But I don't believe you really care,
That I need your attention too.

It's not me being paranoid,
I know you're not being untrue,
I just don't get why you can't understand,
That I just want to be with you.

Just that one text to help me see,
That you do occasionally think of me,
Is it really too much to ask for?
Why can't it be like it was before?
