Letting Go

Have you ever loved somebody but they're nowhere to be found, You run to where they are but your feet were never on the ground

You miss their touch, you miss their voice, their presence day to day; You'd give up so much of yourself to not be so far away

You've found the one you need, the only one who fills that space; You know you'll be alright if you keep them in that place

Everything about them makes you feel so whole; You know they are the one cause you feel it in your soul

I'll never turn away or forget what we once had; I'll never let you fall, why does this hurt so bad?

You've gave me everything I need a place to rest my head; The only thing I have to hold onto are the words that you once said

Even if it never is, I pray you'll keep me close to your heart; The day I met you I never thought we'd be apart

Saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do or say; When you've tried so hard, how do you walk away?

I have to let you go for this heart to ever mend; I can only pray to God that this isn't the end
