The screaming and the yelling
Words ringing in my ear
But when I try to block it out
It's all that I can hear

I try to push it out
Avoid my deepest fear
I wish that my pain and fear
Would only disappear

I cover it up
With a smile and a shield
That keeps me from saying things
About how I truly feel
