If You Could Love Me Too

by Unseen Exposure   May 19, 2004

My heart knew all along,
What my head would not believe,
I knew I should have listened,
But I have been deceived,

I won’t let you know,
How badly all this pains,
But you will never see,
All the inside rains,

Maybe you could hear,
What happened to my heart,
When it shattered into pieces,
And my body fell apart,

I lay down on my floor,
Because it hurt to try and breathe,
Inside my heart was aching,
And I just wanted to scream,

Not wanting to disturb,
I kept it all inside,
Trying to comfort myself,
By pushing it aside,

And now I wind up here,
With one thing piled above,
Why was I not good enough,
Was I too much to love?

Maybe I was the one,
That you needed to use,
While the other had your heart,
I was being abused,

Perhaps I am wrong,
Although chances are slim,
She had you first,
And I will never win,

And now with all that said,
I really do love you,
And it would just be great,
If you could love me too.

It's of course not as deep and emotional as many of your other ones... but i enjoyed it, becuase i'm going through it, and i'm so sorry that someone else is going through it... :'(
